The American Legion, Department of Florida is the Premier Sponsor of PROJECT: VetRelief and, as such, provides all administrative, volunteer, and advocacy support at no charge to the program. We are honored to have The American Legion, Department of Florida and their more than 130,000 members standing with us to aid our service members and their families.
The American Legion has served as a pillar in our community, across the state, and nationwide for nearly 100 years. Members support our veterans and their families in a variety of ways through promoting strong national security, advocating patriotism and honor, mentoring youth, and sponsoring wholesome programs in our communities. The American Legion, Department of Florida has also influenced considerable social change and fought for veterans’ benefits, both across the state and on Capital Hill.

R.L. James, Inc., established in 1988, is a state certified General Contractor offering services across the state, from Southwest Florida to the Orlando area, the East Coast and beyond. R.L. James, Inc. specializes in condominium exterior remediation projects, which include: painting, waterproofing, sealants, stucco and concrete repair, impact window installation, aluminum guardrails and screen enclosures.
The Florida Veterans Foundation serves as the statewide lead organization for Florida veterans and their families by providing direct services and partnering with state and local governments, veteran service organizations, and educational institutions to improve their physical, financial, mental, emotional, and social well-being.
Supports the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs’ mission of advocacy; and, advocates for Florida veterans through local and statewide outreach to educate the public and governmental entities, increasing awareness on veteran-related issues.
The majority of the Foundation Directors are retired, military disabled veterans who donate over 40 hours per week of their time to assist and help guide Florida’s veterans through a myriad of issues veterans face today. Whether it’s access to healthcare, education, jobs, VA benefits or the like, our Directors are here to help.
The Sons of The American Legion, Detachment of Florida, a part of the Legion Family, exists to honor the service and sacrifice of Legionnaires. Members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership.
